 Laurent-Martin Schmit est organiste titulaire-adjoint des grandes-orgues de la Cathédrale de Troyes et Directeur-Adjoint du    Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental de Troyes en France (musique, danse, théâtre). Il est de plus chargé de cours en  université (politiques culturelles, pratiques culturelles). Très impliqué dans le monde culturel, il se produit à l’orgue ou au piano en France et à l’étranger et donne de nombreux cours et conférences sur l’art et la culture. Particulièrement attaché à l’improvisation, il s’associe à de nombreux artistes afin de développer cette pratique artistique. Il a suivi de brillantes études à l’Université (arts, histoire de l’art, expertise culturelle, esthétique de l’art, sciences humaines, sociologie), et a fréquenté le Conservatoire ainsi que de nombreuses classes de maîtres (orgue, piano, formation musicale, écriture, analyse, etc.).

Laurent-Martin Schmit is associate organist of the great organs of the Troyes cathedral and assistant director of the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental de Troyes of Troyes in France (music, dance, theater). He is also a lecturer at the university (cultural policies, cultural practices). Very involved in the cultural world, he performs at the organ or the piano in France and abroad and gives many courses and conferences on art and culture. Particularly committed to improvisation, he is associated with many artists in order to develop this artistic practice. He brilliantly studied at the University (arts, art history, cultural expertise, aesthetics of art, humanities, sociology), and attended Conservatory as well as many masterclasses (organ, piano, musical training, writing, analysis, etc.).
